Cruna del Lago 2016 - La Sibilla

This is a white wine from The Campania region made from the Falanghina grape from the 2016 vintage by the La Sibilla producer that we visited in May 2019. The vineyards are located in the beautiful area of Bacoli near Naples. The color is a deep yellow straw with golden highlighted, the viscosity is medium high for a white wine (13% abv). The nose is intense with notes of candied fruits and notes of jasmine . The wine we tasted sememd excessively oxidated so we recommend to drink this wine within 2 -3 years from vintage. The palate is soft, the wine is almost unctuous.. with a medium body low acidity and a medium low persistence. In summary a good wine without a wow effect .. to be paired with fish dishes, salads or pasta in any fish sauce. PM: 88
