2015 Rosso Conero Riserva Moroder

This is a red wine from the Conero area of the Marche region. It’s made with 100% Montepulciano grape and only produced in exceptional vintages. The producer is Moroder, we visited this winery in June 2018. The wine is a deep ruby , the rim is not true to the core confirming the aging in the bottle. The viscosity is medium high (14.5% abv). The nose is truly intriguing and seductive with intense notes of black fruits ( blackberries and black cherries jam ) , tertiary notes of licorice and rhubarb. The palate confirms the nose with silky tannins a perfectly balanced acidity , a full body and a very long persistence. On summary an excellent wine that can be paired with heavy grilled meat or with pasta in heavy meat sauce or even as meditation wine at this stage of its aging. PM 92.
